Every once in a while, we have to jump in front of the camera and put ourselves in your shoes. This requires us to show our faces more often so you can get to know your photographers better! We recently had a branding session done and it was a blast. We laughed, posed, and then, things got awkward. The goal was to get a fresh set of content with a spring vibe and individual images of each of us. Here are a few favorites of the group.
As a team, we all have different strengths that I thought would be fun to highlight in the session. No one knew I was doing this so presenting them with their name was a blast!
Stay tuned our our next post where we highlight each of the photographers so you can get to know us a little more!
If you’re ready to book a session or wedding with a bunch of weirdos like us, please contact us to start chatting!
Special shout out to our girl Sara of Sara Meteyer Photography for hanging with us and taking these. We will share her branding photos soon!
If you have a maternity session booked or are contemplating whether or not to do one and don’t know what to bring, we are here to help! We are Michigan Newborn and family photographers in Rochester, Michigan who love capturing motherhood in every stage. With over a decade of experience in newborn and family photography, we have a few tips on how to help you personalize your maternity session.
Here are Three Tips on How to Personalize Your Pregnancy Photoshoot
Bring in an ultrasound picture or photo strip – This is one of the safest ways to make sure you never lose or damage your ultrasound pictures. Plus it makes the sweetest prop for you to hold, second to holding your baby bump
2. Bring cute baby clothesand/or shoes – This can be a simple onesie or something more personalized with a nickname or even baby’s name if you can commit to that before baby is born!
3. If you’re married, incorporate something from the wedding or from dating – Afterall, its because two people fell in love that the little one is on their way so paying homage to the relationship will be something sweet that your child will appreciate more. This mama brought her robe that she got ready in on her wedding day. See pictures below!
For your maternity session, you have the freedom to bring anything that reflects your personal style and makes the session uniquely yours. From the initial scheduling inquiry, we’ll collaborate closely to determine the ideal location (our Rochester, MI studio, your home, an outdoor location that reflects your style etc.), atmosphere, and outfit selection that you feel beautiful and confident in. Additionally, we offer access to our client closet, providing you with a variety of dresses and bodysuits options to help make the planning process simple. We also offer professional hair/makeup and prenatal massage options after you finish your shoot. Your session is all about capturing the essence of this special moment in your life, but more importantly, it’s about celebrating you because, well, you are growing a human and that’s pretty amazing! Also, we have milestone collections to cover your baby’s first year to help you rest assured that all those sweet details will be captured.

I am SO EXCITED for this sweet family and their new baby coming soon. Logan is going to be the best big brother and I can’t wait to find out if they are having a baby boy or girl. Either way, that is one lucky little baby to have a family like theirs. Laura got to model our new couch and chaise chair coming to the studio for spring. And she is wearing two of my favorite maternity dresses (more colors and styles coming to the client closet soon!) Thanks for another wonderful maternity session and we can’t wait to watch your new baby grow! xoxo – Jenay
