Three Reasons Why You Should do a First Moments Session

1. The Details – These are the focus of this session. The hospital bands, the wrinkly toes, the umbilical cord, the peach fuzz… It may seem like these details will stay for a while so you can soak them in, but the reality is that they change quickly. And more often than not, you are in survival mode and won’t get as much time to lock them into your memory as you think you will.

2. The bond – This chapter of your parenting story is on it’s very first page. How cool is that?! These moments are some of the most important of your entire life. You can now officially hold your baby in your arms. You can see their features, smell them, kiss their cheeks, do skin-to-skin. All of these moments are monumental and deserve to be documented.

3. The Story – I am guessing that you, the reader, don’t have photos like this from when you were born. But I am pretty confident that you wish you did. These are the first moments of your baby’s life. For them to be able to look back and relive it through images would be a priceless gift to be able to give them.
